Supergirl (Screen GFX)

For DC Studios’ Supergirl, I had the opportunity to work as part of the Screen Graphics team, contributing to interface graphics that supported the film’s storytelling and established the visual language of its technology. The project required a range of in-world displays centred around alien spacecraft systems, embracing a rugged, industrial aesthetic with weathered, mechanical-inspired visuals that reflected the battle-worn nature of the technology.

A key part of my work involved modelling spacecraft cockpit components in Cinema 4D from production reference, while contributing to the development and animation of the surrounding interface graphics. These sequences communicated key story moments, including damage sustained to the ship’s engine systems following an attack by Supergirl. Rendering multiple passes provided the flexibility needed in After Effects to refine the final composites and achieve the desired cinematic aesthetic.
